This is quite an OLD program with the main executable last modified in 2018! Astounding a bug free version 1.0.0 with no need for any further dev work so far! I already got this Feb 2025 on my old Vista system that got a bit messed up so just re-installed it. Lacks any of the niceties of PDF file generation like being able to set OWNER or USER passwords and restrictions and encryption respectively or being able to digitally sign the created PDF but it does support prompting for a passphrase when asked to open for splitting a USER password encrypted PDF file.
It does place several OCX activex controls that need to be registered and kept the same versions which is what I think went wrong with the installation that was done just over a year ago… but cannot be sure. Using OCX libraries is an almost depreciated programing paradigm.
