You again have conflicting information on the giveaway at the tope you say:

and further down:

I presume it is really version 5.7.1 and not 5.4… if so there are a couple of attempts at bug fixes though not all bugs were fixed entirely… 5.7.1 seems to default to opening Pictures instead of Documents and rescaling larger than initial images scales the larger image down BUT maintains the large images aspect ratio and does not use black bars to match the aspect ratio of the initial image that defines the GIF dimensions so there WILL be bleed through of underlying/previous frames to the current frame that is not fully drawn. Which is unlikely to be what the end user wants.
Always defaults to opening your Documents folder no matter where you navigate to previously… DUMB GIFs are Images so should be in your images folder NOT Documents folder with txt and word and other documents… There are NO palette settings to determine algorithm used to reduce the inserted images to 256 or 16 colours. This is an old version, there is no newer version this dates from April 2024 and must have been offered here before, it’s done the rounds of giveaway sites many times. Does not handle well images of different size but arbitrarily crops an uncontrolled portion of larger than starting image size… does not auto-rescale to fit the starting image size… Needs way more work to be worth paying for in my humble opinion but they’ve ceased development.
