why doesn’t it offer to force re-map the failed sectors found out of all modern drives spare good sector pool of normally inaccessible hidden spares. That way it can make a drive useable again! You can scan any drive for sector errors with windows built in chkdsk and have it mark those sectors as bad in the filesystem so they won’t be used… that was a feature from pre-IDE drives post IDE remapping bad sectors became an option… used by HDD Regenerator available in two editions, win10/11 edition or legacy edition.
